Warren Meyer

Writer / Producer

Warren is an autodidact and insomniac with an overactive imagination and a not-so slight Peter Pan complex.

He first adopted script writing as a hobby in 1997, as a mental release during countless sleepless nights.

As his writing was purely a release and not written with the intent to produce, Warren merely “shelved” his scripts. Often forgetting about them altogether, including Tannie Dora Goes Bos, which was initially written in the early 2000's, temporarily taken out of storage for a second draft in 2005, and then promptly shelved once more.

Introduced to the “underbelly” of theatre production in 2010 by Jeremeo Le Cordeur, Warren found himself drawn to the world of theatre, and over the next few years, became captivated by the idea of producing. However, it wasn’t until June 2013, while at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown, that Warren remembered the old Tannie turned killer he had dreamed into existence more than a decade ago and pitched the idea to Le Cordeur.

Partnering with Vulture Productions in order to bring Tannie Dora Goes Bos to life, Warren easily slipped into the role of Producer, and hasn’t looked back.
