Jeremeo Le Cordeur

 

Director

 

Jeremeo Le Cordeur graduated from the CityVarsity School for Media & Creative Arts with an Advanced Diploma in Acting.

 

Since then, he has worked with Matchbox Theatre Collective's Nicola Haskins; the 2011 Standard Bank Young Artist Award's winner Bailey Snyman, has performed at the 2007 Baxter Dance Festival, at the 2008 National Arts Festival in Raising Dust, directed by Luke Ellenbogen, and joined Fresh Theatre Companyin 2009, a presenting company specialising in musical theatre.

 

In 2010, he created Vulture Productions and staged his first production, Dress to Impress, at the Intimate Theatre in 2010, which he wrote, produced, directed, and starred in. The show returned to the Artscape the following year due to its popularity.

 

Since then, he has written, directed, produced, and performed in Pizza's Here (2011), I Know How You Screamed Last SCARY MOVIE (2011), and Risk for the 2012 and 2013 National Arts Festival.

 

In February 2013, he returned to the Artscape with his 6th production and ensemble cast for February 14th, a character piece depicting the interlacing relationships and romances of eleven characters within a series of vignettes on Valentine's Day. The show received rave reviews, praising Le Cordeur as “an energetic and entrepreneurial theatre maker” (Tracey Saunders, Cape Times).

 

He also spent five months on scholarship at the Dimensional Stunt School, after which he performed in the stunt performance-based theatre piece Borderline for the Amani Arts Festival, written by Malika Ndlovu and directed by Sensei Ndlovu.

 

His film credits include House Party: Tonight's the Night (Warner Brothers) and League of Glory (MNet). He has also been interviewed on Expresso (SABC 3), Hectic Nine 9 (SABC 2), and CTV's Open Studio.

 

He is currently a puppeteer on the popular Internet series ZANEWS and has performed skits alongside Helen Zille, Zwelenzima Vavi, Marc Lottering, and Tim Modise.
